  1. LOWELL Says:
She was so wasted at this show, but still a trillion times better than anything else out there, then & now.
  2. Aden Says:
I haven't been a Janis fan for very long, but oh my god -- it only took watching one performance of hers to make me fall in love with her, then I bought a bunch of her music, read up on her, watched as many interviews and performances as I could find; I just immediately wanted to learn everything I could about this incredible person. I can't get enough of her. She is beautiful and soulful and I totally dig everything she's about. I only wish I had been around to see her perform live.
  3. EDLIN Says:
"Why does it always wanna go and hurt me, baby." I wanna know, too Janis. *sigh*
  4. Zoe Says:
omg i want a woman like that, there´s nothing more to say, just beautiful music
  5. Boell Says:
So what...she could still sing and perform better than any piece of crap Britney Spears, even when trashed.
  6. Hewlitt Says:

  7. KRAL Says:
Well at least your parents had good music taste then...my parents was boring...:/
  8. Mackayla Says:
god i hate my mom!!!! she saw janis joplin live!!!! y is it that my generation has to have such horrible music!!!
  9. Rolf Says:
Yea its kinda upsetting. I'm 17 and Janis is probably my favorite artist of all time. When people ask me who my favorite singer is and i say Janis nobody knows who she is. Ofcourse they all remember Hendrix and Morrison but... it seems Janis is often forgotten.
  10. GIRVEN Says:
    Gotta love Pearl.....!
  11. Johnny Says:
Why does someone always have to bring up the drug thing? Its not as if we dont all know already...
  12. FIRAS Says:
    bravo, i love it
  13. DALY Says:
noooo porque no estaba ahi dios!!!! la mejor! janis je t`aime
  14. SI Says:
Yeah, she was doing heroin, her and her girlfriend, Peggy, and she did tequila as a chaser, and they posponed her show 8 hours, to try to sober her up! You see how messed up she is in this video!
  15. Aubrie Says:
I did hear somewhere that they spent a long time getting her ready again to perform, she had alot to drink and had a fix.
  16. Montrel Says:
but i meant to add- she was/is AMAZING-thanks Janis X
  17. Harleigh Says:
I don't think Janis drank to perform, she was unhappy, her parents rejected her for the 'modern' life she chose- in those days in was a 'sin', if this is a drunk performance (although it could be) its pretty controlled, but maybe to get that 'out there feeling she felt she needed drink. who knows. i read she said the audience made love to her every nite but she went home alone, her only friend being the bottle.
  18. PHILEMON Says:
Thank you, very much. My father raised me on classic rock, R&B stuff like Motown, soul, old-school, and blues. She's one of my favorites. I think that's why I think the way I do. =)
  19. Aricela Says:
I so glad someone so young recognizes a godsend like Janis. You obviously very wise despite your age.
  20. GABRIELLA Says:
    I. Am. In. Love. With this woman! She's one of my inspirations. She was absolutely phenominal. In an interview with Robert Plant, he said that she had inspired him. Both him and Jimmy Page said she was an absolute sweetheart. I wish I could've met her. Sucks for me, because I'm only 18...damn.
  21. ARUB Says:
    Она божественна!
  22. MEZAJ Says:
I agree with you there. I wish I could have experienced her in person.
  23. KYNTHELIG Says:
Phenomenal performance, but compared to her Monterey performance only two years earlier, Janis looked like she had aged ten years.
  24. Nicolle Says:
    trop beau! merveilleuse....
  25. Cadha Says:
i hear ya, man.. straight up, this era's where it's at..
