Excerpts from MAB's "Performance" DVD recorded live at his studio called "Monster Mix". MAB is using a Marshall JMP-1 and a Marshall valvestate, miked, off to the side of the stacks for this DVD. He also did this in his "Star Licks" and "Speed Kills" DVDs. Those are his Marshall stacks, used by him in concert but they were used in this program only as a backdrop. This DVD as well as his other ones are available at www.angelo.com

No Boundaries was recorded by Michael Angelo Batio for the intro to his Speed Lives instructional DVD. We recorded Speed Lives in late 2003. http://www.metalmethod.com/lead-guitar-lesson-speed-lives.htm So, how did Michael manage to play so many guitars in one video without missing a beat? Nope, we didn't punch 'em in. We shot this video with one camera. Michael was filmed playing No Boundaries from beginning to end with each of the guitars. There was only one guitar that actually had enough frets (24) to play the song and that's the brown Dean. So, what you're hearing is that single performance from beginning to end. There are parts of No Boundaries that are highly structured. Michael plays these parts exactly the same way every time. On some of these sections we superimposed the video (not the audio) of his performances playing other guitars. Still, you're only hearing one amazing live performance from beginning to end. - Doug Marks

Michael Angelo Batio performed Rain Forest on his 2006 DVD instructional video Speed Kills 2. http://www.metalmethod.com/lead-guitar-lesson-speed-kills-2.htm Speed Kills 2 is the follow-up to Speed Kills, the most popular guitar technique video of all time. People are amazed by Michael's extreme shredding performances but they don't really understand what's happening in these videos. This piece is over six minutes long and what you see and hear is what you get. This was a three-camera shoot, which allowed us to cut between cameras to make the video more visually appealing. As everybody knows, when you cut to a different camera it could be from another take. Not here. We turned all three cameras on and let them roll for twenty-four minutes. During that period of time Michael performed the piece from beginning to end three times. This video is the third take. - Doug Marks You can vote for Michael as "shredder of the year" in Guitar World's reader pole: http://multivote.sparklit.com/web_poll.spark/13398

A very sympathetic interview with composer Angelo Badalamenti about his collaboration with David Lynch made in conjunction with the Mulholland Drive release in 2001. He tells the story of how they met during the Blue Velvet finalization and how their cooperation works. He also tells the story behind the brilliant lead actress casting meeting scene in Mulholland Drive where he plays the mafioso Castigliani brother who has serious problems with his espresso.

Insegnare, raccontare puoi fingere, mentire, poi distruggere, incendiare e ancora riprovare.
